We are on day 25 of the 40-day Journey for WaterIsLife.com. Or as the girls put it, only two weeks to go! We are weary, but that’s what New York City does to you!
New York is spectacular, and with a stop at charity:water offices, it was inspirational. charity:water has made such progress in its first three years – providing clean water around the world. The Golden Child movie download Scott Harrison started the organization with only a few volunteers and has grown it into a vibrant non-profit with a full staff, and is in the process of moving into new offices in Soho. The Man in the Iron Mask онлайн порно каштанка I was able to see Scott Harrison, the Founder – but only as he sat as his desk working.

The thrill was the office energy. I had the chance to talk with a few of the staff members and see how change can happen with dedication, perseverance and an amazing group of people with fantastic ideas and motivation – all working collaboratively for a cause.
Our NYC agenda also included an early morning to hang out at the TODAY Show Plaza. With WaterIsLife.com banner in hand, a few trains and a taxi we made it to the line to enter the Plaza early enough to score a prime location. We were pleased that we chose Thursday as our targeted day as we steered clear of Friday due to the Concerts. Good planning on our part – Miley Cyrus was the concert on Friday and the line of camped out kids had already formed on Thursday morning to enter the plaza Friday.

While in line, staff answered questions, sold poster board and sharpies for $3, and offered a free breakfast to all in line. They let us in at 6:40 a.m., checked all bags and read all signs.
Nervous moment, our Team was stopped and told “no signs with .com.”
With a few smiles, and kind words, they let us in. We grabbed a front row spot located near Dean and Deluca – this process has a definite strategy behind it.
The crowd became friendly with one another, and camaraderie was formed by the end of the morning. Throughout our day in the City, we would run into other Plaza goers with smiles and greetings. We talked with many on the Plaza about WaterIsLife.com and all were excited for us and helped position our banner. It was a blustery day, but in the end WaterIsLife.com team hit the trifecta.
Hoda walked passed us with a smile on her way to the studio – that was a fun warm up to our morning. We watched on screens provided as the Anchors chatted, read, had makeup touch ups, adjusted and blew their noses. As the show was underway, Matt Lauer, Anne Curry, Natalie and Al came out to the Plaza. State’s Evidence film They were extremely friendly, and went out of their way to talk with everyone. The entire process was wonderfully warm and genuine. All of the NBC staff on the Plaza were congenial and talkative, from when we first entered the line - all the way through the two hour show.

For Today Show regulars, you know Lenny! We were able to hang and talk with Lenny for a while. One of the Today Show producers (one that I remember emailing a press release to) came over to talk with Lenny. Out of respect, I didn’t interject in their conversation – but you know I was tempted!

One of the segments outside on the Plaza was Martha Stewart. She did a mosaic segment with Anne, Matt and Al. For those that have known me over the last two decades – I am a Martha fan! I was no more than 20 feet from her, and was on camera during her segment. If hat’s my fifteen minutes, I’ll take it.

Al came over to our area and did a weather promo in front of WaterIsLife.com sign. The Coast 2 Coast Team made it on air. Our goal complete.
With a handshake from Al, photo with Natalie and weather segment in front of our banner, we were satisfied with the accomplishment. A cup of hot chocolate and Chai at Dean and Deluca, and on with our day.

While in Manhattan; Downtown to Midtown to Uptown, Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island, East Side, Upper West Side and all in between! World Trade Center, Soho, Tribeca, The Village, Central Park, 5th Ave, FAO, Harlem, Wall St, Times Square, ferries, trains, cabs and blisters. So many favorites, but may have to say that one of the most enjoyable was the relaxing ferry ride on the Hudson at night, skyline sparkling, heading back to our camp, after long days in the city.

Relaxation is crucial for health and longevity, so we are on to Cape Cod for the weekend and then to Boston for WaterIsLife.com meetings on Monday.
Our hope is to avoid tropical storm Denny weather, which is due in on Saturday. Lady Sings the Blues hd And with Senator Kennedy’s death taking a toll on so many in Mass. – It should be an interesting few days. I have my eye on a bowl of chowda!
P.S. Next Today Show goal – Anne Curry!
