CLEAN WATER FOR HAITI
WaterIsLife.com has sent 3,600 filters in and en-route to Haiti. 3,000 additional will be ready for shipment end of March. Thousands of filters will be needed in the next six months to provide clean water until internal infrastructure and pumps can be repaired. Prior to the earthquake, clean water was a huge issue for many Haitians, and with the aftermath about to begin, the lack of clean water will become a life-threatening situation.
Many schools, businesses and organizations have joined hands to bring more help to Haiti. If you or your organization would like to help Haiti by providing life-saving water filters, please visit the Media Kit link on the front page of the site where you can download pics, logos, banners, FAQ, Information sheets to help you in spreading the message. You can download and print out hand outs, or include in your blog posts, emails, newsletters etc.
PARTNER WITH A VILLAGE
A community is a neighborhood, a school, church, business, company or organization in which you belong. Your community can partner with a community around our world – one in desperate need of clean water. Partner with your own village and know that the funds you raise are directed to helping to obtain life-saving, clean water for them. When each village receives your assistance, lives are saved, children are healthier and are able return to obtain their education. With your support, together we will transform these communities, one village at a time. Get to know your Village Chief, Women Elders, learn the names of the children and how they live and play.
